Three years ago,we were selling a substantial amount of large cigars, large meaning 10 x 60, 7 x 60 and 5 x 60 (10"long x 60 ring size). Each time I tried to order these cigars, they were on backorder, and we could not keep them in stock. In May of 1992, I found a factory in the Dominican Republic that would start rolling these large ring cigars specifically for our stores. It took me a couple of months and numerous trips to the factory sampling different tobaccos and mixing the blends.
My goal was to blend a cigar with flavor, but mild enough for the novice smoker, and also affordable. After I decided on the perfect blend, I was still not satisfied. I wanted to give our customers something unlike all other cigars. Hence, a bullet cut in each and every cigar. This is how Havana Preferred was born.
Today, our best selling shapes are still the large ring gauges, which are keeping our factory plenty busy. All of our cigars are guaranteed, if for some reason you are not satisfied, we will gladly take them back....no questions asked.
